I am currently creating a 28mm Seven Years War British brigade using Scottish (or North British to use contemporary parlance) units.I have painted the 2nd Battalion 1st Foot, Royal Regiment, 21st Royal North British Fusiliers, and the 42nd Royal Highland Regt. The 2nd Royal North British Dragoons and the 25th (Edinburgh Regt are next on the agenda as well as the artllery battery of Forbes McBean.(Click on the photos to enlarge)
The fusiliers wear the mitre cap depicting the star of the order of the thistle, the flap at the front of the mite should depict a thistle in natural colours but that never turned out as well. There is a great image of the 21st fusiliers in the 1742 clothing warrant.
